Arrangements for students collecting GCSE results

As we approach GCSE results day on Thursday 20th August 2020, below are the specific arrangements for students collecting their results – the morning will go ahead in a similar format to previous years, although we will be taking extra social distancing precautions.

Results can be collected from the Sports Hall. Students should enter from the fire exit on the left at the front of the school and will leave via the right fire exit to produce a one way system. There will be signs to clarify this. If students wish to register for Hucknall Sixth Form Centre after they have received their results, they will leave the Sports Hall along the PE corridor and register in the Canon Williams Hall. They will then exit the site through main reception.

We will stagger the collection times by surname. Please note these so we can minimise congestion in the hall. It is vital that these times are adhered to:

  • 9.30–10am: A – C
  • 10-10.30am: D – H
  • 10.30–11am: J – P
  • 11.00am-12.30pm: R – W

We also ask that students have just one family member with them when they enter the hall to collect their results. If students do not wish to attend to collect their results in person they will be posted on Thursday 20th August.

Unfortunately, due to the current climate the normal routine whereby teaching staff celebrate results in person with students is unlikely to be possible. However, members of the Leadership Team will be available and guidance will be given with regards to the process should the re-sitting of examinations be required. Our Careers Lead will also be available to give careers information and advice.

We wish all students the best of luck and look forward to seeing them on Thursday.
