Welcome Service

Our Year 7 students attended their welcome service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Hucknall on Friday 25th September. The service was led by Lucie, our Academy Chaplain, and Revd. Helen Chantry, vicar of St Mary Magdalene Church. Students enjoyed exploring our vision and values in more detail.

Y6 Open Evening

We were delighted to welcome so many prospective students and their parents and carers to our Year 6 Open Evening. It was wonderful to see our academy community come together, with over 100 of our current students volunteering to be student ambassadors. They shared their experiences and offered visitors a real insight into life at National Church of England Academy.

Remembrance 2025

On Tuesday 11 November, our whole school community came together to pause, reflect, and take part in a two-minute silence to mark Remembrance Day. We remembered with gratitude all those who gave their lives so that we could live in peace and freedom. A wreath was laid in the memorial garden at the front of school by our students who wore their Army cadet uniform to take part in the ceremony.

Y6 Welcome Days 2025

We welcomed year 6 students to the academy for our two Welcome Days. Students took part in a range of transition activities and subject lessons.

Y6 Open Evening 2025

Y11 Celebration Service 2025

Year 11 attended the Church of St Mary Magdalene for a short service to celebrate the end of their five year journey at the Academy.

Y7 Christingle Service 2024

On Wednesday and Thursday this week, all Year 7 students attended a special Christingle service at St Mary's Magdalene Church in Hucknall. Students behaved impeccably and were a credit to the Academy!

Remembrance Day November 2024

We held a whole school 2 minute silence to remember and pay our respects to those who sacrificed their lives for us.
