Students Celebrate Outstanding GCSE Results at National Church of England Academy
Students at National Church of England Academy are celebrating today after receiving an excellent set of GCSE results that reflect their hard work, determination and commitment throughout their secondary education.
The Class of 2026 has achieved strong outcomes across a broad range of subjects, with many students exceeding expectations and securing the grades needed to progress to their chosen next steps. The results are a testament to the dedication of students, the support of families, and the commitment of staff who have guided them throughout their studies.
64% of Students achieved a pass in both English and mathematics and 44% achieving a strong pass in both English and Mathematics. Alongside this a record number of students achieved grade 5s in 5 or more subjects including English and maths. The academy is excited to welcome the students to the next stage in their journey at the National Academy Sixth form.
Headteacher Mr Brailsford paid tribute to the achievements of the students and the wider school community.
"We are incredibly proud of our students and all they have accomplished. These excellent results reflect not only their academic abilities but also their resilience, determination and character. Every student should be proud of what they have achieved today. I would like to thank our dedicated staff and supportive families who have played such an important role in helping our young people succeed. We look forward to seeing this talented cohort continue to flourish in the next stage of their education."
Mrs Eastwood, Co-Chair of Governors, also congratulated students on their success.
"On behalf of the Governing Body, I would like to offer my heartfelt congratulations to all of our students. Their achievements are the result of hard work, perseverance and ambition, supported by an exceptional team of staff. These results demonstrate the strength of our school community and our commitment to ensuring every young person is given the opportunity to reach their full potential. We wish all our students every success as they move forward to exciting new opportunities."
As students consider their next steps, the Academy is pleased to confirm that there are still places available at the National Sixth Form Centre (NSFC) for September 2026.
The NSFC offers a wide range of A Level and Level 3 courses within a supportive and ambitious learning environment, helping students prepare for university, apprenticeships and future careers.
