Throughout the year we focused on a number of key areas ranging from students setting themselves individual non-curriculum based targets to pupil voice and pupil participation. Students have been finding out more about the academy and job roles, together with understand how academy budgets work.
The key principle behind the Investors in Pupils concept is to ensure students are aware of how the whole academy works together with understanding their role and responsibilities in ensuring that this is a highly inclusive, respectful environment.
Students commented that being part of Investors in Pupils “…means getting involved in the running of the academy. It means being able to have your ‘say’, giving something back and understanding what goes on behind the scenes.”
