Online Payments & ParentMail

Since April 2017 the academy has not accepted cash payments for items such as trips, revisions guides, etc. This is to remove the need for students to bring cash into the academy.

Payment is accepted through the online system of sQuid. Please log onto to make your payment. If you do not currently use the sQuid system then please contact and we can arrange for you to receive a username and password.

By prior agreement, you can send monies by bank transfer or cheque. Cash will ONLY be accepted for donations on non-uniform days and in other ad-hoc instances where the academy instructs that this is an option.

Online payments

Log on to for information about this method of payment. Your Squid account will become active from the September that your son/daughter becomes a student at National, and all students will be issued with log in details automatically. We will write to you with details of your 16 digit sQuid registration number and 3 digit security code.

You will be able to ‘load’ money via sQuid for meals at the academy, together with trips and activities. Please ensure that all funds are paid into the correct ‘wallet’.



One of the main ways we communicate home is using ParentMail – this ensures that you receive important information about activities, events and the things that really matter in a timely fashion.

There is a free mobile app, available to download on iOS and Android which allows you to pick up messages and notifications instantly. Through this app, there is the ability to complete forms for trips, give consent and permissions, book slots for parents’ evenings and more besides.
