COVID-19 Update: Covid reporting over half term
Dear parents and guardians
In order to protect our students and in the best interests of the wider community, we have set up a dedicated email address to report positive Covid-19 tests. This will be monitored during periods of academy closure, for example over half-term and Christmas.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if required.
Please include the following information:
- Student name and year group
- Your own name and contact details
- The date of the Positive Test
- The date when symptoms started and what they were
We do not need to know, during this two weeks, whether your child has symptoms or is waiting for a test – this is for positive cases only.
If a positive case in your child’s bubble is reported during the first part of next week, we may contact you via ParentMail or telephone in order for your child to isolate if there has been close contact.
We will continue to work closely with Public Health England and The Department for Education when making decisions.
From Monday 2nd November, please continue to telephone the main school number if your child is absent or has a positive test, to enable an effective response.
