Film Studies
(GCE A Level)
Whether you're aspiring to a future in the creative industries or simply passionate about storytelling and media, Film Studies provides a rich and rewarding experience.
A Level Film Studies invites students to explore film as a powerful art form and global cultural force. Through the study of a wide range of films — from Hollywood classics to contemporary world cinema — students will gain and deepen their understanding of narrative, genre, and visual style, while reflecting on the social, historical, and spiritual themes films convey.
This course caters to both analytical insight and creative expression, offering the opportunity to produce original film work and screenwriting. Through our Christian ethos, we encourage thoughtful engagement with moral and ethical issues raised through film, helping students become critical, compassionate, and culturally aware individuals. Exploring, through the course, each aspect and embedding them into our learning and our lives
