If your child is self-isolating awaiting test results, or for 10 days after a positive test, they will need to keep up to date with their learning.

Students will need to click one of the following links which will take them to SharePoint. They can ‘follow’ the group (press the little star), which will connect the SharePoint to their Microsoft Office (email) account.

Individual Self Isolation: information for parents
When students are self-isolating, your child will be taught broadly the same curriculum as they would if they were in school?

We teach the same curriculum remotely as we do in school wherever possible and appropriate. However, we have needed to make some adaptations in some subjects. For example, some practical subjects will have theory tasks to support the learning in school.
In years 7 -9 we have carefully matched the Oak academy lessons to our in-school curriculum (supplemented with our our own resources) to ensure that when a student return to lessons they seamlessly transition back into class.
In years 10-11 students will have included some oak learning, revision and knowledge-based activities that match our curriculum but may have some elements to catch up on their return. This will be guided by their teacher.

How long can I expect work set by the school to take my child each day?
We expect that remote education (including remote teaching and independent work) will take pupils broadly the following number of hours each day:

Key Stage 3 and 4
5 hours

Students should follow their timetable as if they are in school.
